Here are the little hacks that you should know in the game that will make your life as a trainer that much simpler in the game.

1) The stationary location hack – There are moments in game where you can increase your chances of meeting pokémon for gaining experience and

  1. While Walking
  2. The few minutes after turning on the app.

If you are lazy and do not want to walk to catch pokémon, here is a solution:

  1. After waiting for 10 minutes and nothing seemed to be popping up, turn off the GPS location function in app and quit the app.
  2. Wait for 1-2 minutes for any remaining game sessions to be removed.
  3. Reopen the app and turn on location function once you see the map opened up in game. You should see the roads forming in the game. You should see your character walking around.

Within 3-5 minutes, a pokémon will appear near to your location.

2) The spinning ball – Get 10 more xp when you spin your pokéballs to catch your pokémon.

  1. while facing your pokémon, hold down on your pokéball and move it in a circular motion. You should see your pokéball spinning with stars.
  2. Once its spinning, you can stop the circular motion and throw the ball as per normal while still holding down on the pokéball. DO NOT throw the pokéball while spinning or it will just fly all over the place without catching the creature. You know how troublesome it is to get pokeballs.

3) Higher chance of capture – During the catch, while holding down on the pokéball, you will see a white circle with a closing green circle on the inside.

  1. Aim the white circle at the creature.
  2. Flick the ball when the green circle is at its smallest.
  3. Try moving your flickering finger to the white circle.

This will allow you to have a higher chance of capturing a difficult pokémon, especially when your level is high.
